On a not so clear day, Obama made a decisively bad decision. He choose Rick Warren to lead the Inaugural Prayer. "And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed." Revelations 13:15 I'm coming strong with this because of the lack of ethics within Rev. Warren's Site, and the many changes that have occurred since the decision was made. The facts remain, you can change a Site, but the heart's intention may not be changed. The judgment, manipulation, and hypocrisy of both men should be in question now. Intention aside for a moment, what the heck is Obama thinking, in a Country filled with Religious, Racial, and Political divisiveness... why Rev. Warren? | |
Here are the illusion of facts: Pastor Rick Warren has a long history of activism on behalf of the disadvantaged and the downtrodden. He's devoted his life to performing good works for the poor and leads the evangelical movement in addressing the global HIV/AIDS crisis. In fact, the President-elect recently addressed Rick Warren's Saddleback Civil Forum on Global Health to salute Warren's leadership in the struggle against HIV/AIDS and pledge his support to the effort in the years ahead. Yet he wishes no gays in his Church unless they repent of their sin of biology. |
Faith in Public Life, a nonprofit cultivated by the Center for American Progress, was so wowed by Warren that it co-sponsored a presidential forum in August at Warren's Saddleback Church. There, his "broader agenda" included asking Obama whether he believed that life began at conception (which Warren believes, he says, based on the Bible, not science) and to ruminate on the nature of evil. (As for Pastor Rick, he believes the Bible dictates that the US government "punish evildoers," as in Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.) Beneath the sheep's clothing lurks a culture warrior wolf. After the Saddleback forum, he told the Wall Street Journal that the only difference between him and James Dobson was that of "tone." After insisting that his agenda was "broad," and holding himself out as an impartial arbiter of the forum, he declared that voting for a "Holocaust denier" (i.e., someone who is pro-choice) is a "deal-breaker" for many evangelicals. Obama was pressured to talk about "abortion reduction," but Warren likens such rhetoric likening it to Schindler's List: an attempt to save some lives but not end a "holocaust." |
Warren, a creationist, believes that homosexuality disproves evolution; he told CNN's Larry King in 2005, "If Darwin was right, which is survival of the fittest then homosexuality would be a recessive gene because it doesn't reproduce and you would think that over thousands of years that homosexuality would work itself out of the gene pool." Warren protests that he's not a homophobe; it's just that two dudes marrying, in his mind, is indistinguishable from an adult marrying a child, a brother marrying his sister, or polygamy. He thinks his AIDS relief efforts represent an elevated form of Christianity over those non-evangelical do-gooders whom he compares to "Marxists" because they're more interested in good works than salvation. |
| Now the offending language is gone, on Warren's Site but you can still find the anti-gay language via Google's cache. So does Rick Warren now welcome gays, all gays, as members of his church? Or is he simply embarrassed of his views - embarrassed of God's views, per Warren's own admission? And if Warren is embarrassed of God's views, then what is he doing as a public spokesman on religion? And whose idea was it to remove the anti-gay language? Warren's, or Obama's? Anointed as the arbiter of what it means to be faithful, slain believers are now divided where it counts... the heart. Rick Warren, is not a man who symbolizes common ground. He is a man however fluent in NLP and self serving Biblical fear tactics. The music, hard driving sermons, and high tech gloss and floss books are nothing but manipulation and show no real compassion nor Jesus' Greater Gift of... Love. I understand why Obama did this. I just wonder if he understands how deeply hurtful it is to be asked to pray with someone who has compared a marriage with the sexual abuse of children, incest and polygamy. in Warren's eyes, some of the "faithful" are the equivalent of a pedophile. This comparison is what Warren calls his commitment to "model civility." | It's no longer about a "model" it's about setting a Clear Intention. Obama is no longer Clear in his own intention, and now has caused concern among those who trusted him, and supported him. Christians do not have a corner market on Faith. Judgments like this is a felonious fear of a Scientific fact about what is unknown to the Moral Majority. |
Because while Rick Warren takes a great deal about ending global poverty, his egocentric leadership, arrogance and ignorance, defines what he really sees is a big gravy train for his church to jump on. If Bush-Cheney sell disaster capitalism, then Rick Warren is the Pastor for it. He's a man who charms people with easy smiles, and takes the money from behind. It is the new bi-partisanship. THE NEW WORLD ORDER Let us begin with A Purpose Driven Life. It is a book that is like a cigarette commercial, it is designed, not to persuade people who have some question about religion, but to make people who are already addicts switch to Saddleback. Coherence. Bottom Line... In philosophy, there is what is known as the "teleological fallacy." Teleology is the study of purpose. Religions and superstitions continually assume a world created by a purpose, and then argue backwards from there. It is the argument neatly summed up by "a watch implies a watchmaker." Warren is not even so clever as to have a good phrase, instead, he simply assumes it and harangues the reader to come up with a prior purpose. It is a fundamentally illiberal and anti-human point of view, in that the idea of humanism in the West is that each individual create their own purpose. This is a key use of Programing done with a Neurolinguistics precession. |
Warren's world, like most brands of Calvinism, which assumes a pedestrian - predestination. He declares, this without biblical support, that every detail of who you are is ordained, and your place in the world is set by it. It's like a badly written Malcom Gladwell, another determinist, only one who invokes the "god" of Demographics. |
| In short, the entire purpose of "A Purpose Driven Life" is to beat down the reader into submission, and then once they are there, declare that they must take orders from a higher authority, specifically the representative of God (Rick Warren/Ministers) before them. This is the height of Religious NLP and it's programing, and tied with Governmental rule, now you have Power corrupting absolutely. Warren even goes farther into dishonesty than most, in that he does not even give the biblical citations in the text, but throws them into footnotes, making it all the harder to even argue within the context of biblical theology. Warren uses the Bible when it is convenient, but hides it when it is not. So if God gave us breath, and we give breath to beastly judgments , ideas, and more cruelties... then it would stand to reason that Revelations 13:15 applies itself to this kind of attitude and application... resulting in the ruin of man's ability to connect with the Soul and real matters concerning the Greater Gift of Love which JESUS speaks of. Many people praise his social engagement, in for example, AIDs intervention. The people who I know in NGOs are considerably less impressed. It turns out that Warren's social gospel is a great deal like his theological gospel: a fraud, used to beat down opposition by declarations of love and submission, and then a demand for money to be used for the multiplication of his, rather than His, servants. EXAMPLES So it's not about gay, straight, abortion blaaa~ blaaa~ blaaa, it's about the greatest sin around "self indulgent nonsense." Point being, who wants to tie them selves in the application of "The Two Or More Plan" (where two or more are gathered in my name so shall it be done Jesus) with this kind of undercurrent of "intention?" I sure don't Readers, it's up to you but I won't participate and I'm celibate. Never had an abortion. No stake in it whatsoever. But one thing I do know, the power of Prayer works, so I will (along with many~many others) will be Praying opposite for the Country in private with God (the real one). And now my Co~Author has a few words on this as well. |
