2008 Vote
There was a time, when voting for Blacks was more like being in a horror flick. I'm 55 years old, mulatto (part white, american Indian, and black), and very outspoken... not too mention I am a woman. Clearly I have always believed in thinking for myself when not enamored by anothers achievements or while belittling my own.

I have lived in a Country dominated by three values... 1). The Value of Religion, not just any Religion it has to be Christianity. 2). The Value of Strength, no just any strength it has to be American. And 3). The Value of Position (both financial and color), which leads to the culmination of "being right." All drilled into my head from a very young age through the Media, Religion, and Politics was "you can't do that."

racism

ChampionI guess someone forgot to tell Obama, he can't do this. As I sat on the phone with my Friend and Partner Jodie.... wondering if there would be another "Al Gore" situation come Wednesday... I thought to myself, legally Obama has to make a sweep in the Electoral Vote. I said to Jodie; "In order for it not to hit the Courts, the Electoral Vote has to bee 300," I never expected more. I said; "It has to match in the Popular Vote as well or the "Al Gore Effect" will occur again."

I have been sick covering this election. Sick in my heart to see many of the tactics used by Republicans against Obama... but not surprised. It is like horrible flash backs that occur, the programming is so very deep and cuts bitter wounds. J.F.K., Martin Luther King, John Lennon, all who I loved dearly... gone because they wanted to help make a Country with no racism.

I am a realist more than a Spiritualist. I have been spit on, told at a young age to commit suicide because I'm black and I won't fair well in this world, beaten by my dad and raped by him.... and now I know why. Seeing a black man achieve the imposable today, helped me understand why black women and children have it so very hard from our own. Conditioning and Rage. Two of the strongest tools of Neuro Linguistic Programming.

"...experts intuitively use on the assumption that those behaviours were responsible for their results. Much of NLP's philosophy, worldview and approach..." Neuro: the brain and how it accepts things. Linguistic: Language. Programming: the definitive way of using Propaganda, and or Manipulation of person, place or situation.

McCainFor along time, Republicans have sought to use NLP on all levels from the molecular to the media, to promote that being black indicates the darkest of spirit and lack of ability. From Religion to the Senate "tokens" who have been molded to their thinking are brought in. Blacks or any other race are not necessary to the US unless it's Voting time, or they need a "token" to show that they are not what they are... racist.

The biggest abomination is when the men of this society, bled common sense out of white women, who know it's tough for women all over no matter the color. Mrs. Bob Dole for example went after a white Democrat female... calling her "ungodly," to try to keep her seat in the Senate. This race was horrible for me in flash backs, here I am sitting there looking at the races and seeing myself in the white, race... seeing myself in the black race, and hidden within me is the american Indian as well. Wondering, what monster hides in me?

JFK

Seal of the Office of the PresidentHe was killed.
I remember when I was a child, I heard this man with a funny accent. I turned and he was speaking. He said; no matter what color, or creed, or race you are this is America and we can achieve together what we need. Then he said "Ask not what your Country can do for you, but what can you do for your country." The day prior to that I had just been spit on by a white man on the bus. I cried, he spoke so eloquently. I was in speech class because I didn't know how to speak.

Martin Luther KingHe was killed.

There was a Minister, another who spoke with elegance. Another who said whites and blacks could get along. Another who had a Dream. One who understood God's Love. One who understood "And The Greatest Of These Gifts Is Love."

Bobby Kennedy He was killed.

A little older was I, not much. And I saw another man happy, smiling, but with words so deep a child knew.... "I have a chance no matter what others think."

LennonHe was killed.

Considerably older now in this time period, I loved John Lennon's words and music. I noticed he wanted a change for the world too. Wasn't long that he died too. Each of these men who died left an impression on me. The impression was "trust no man, and envy no woman."

And now I sit. I sit in the silence of my own thoughts. This isn't the best of my writing and I know it. I'm too emotional now. Stunned like a deer in headlights. Part of me is happy the other part knows to be very~very cautious. You see I know this country well from this end of perception. Nothing will change if we keep killing off the opportunity to change.

I received a letter today from one of my Members here Readers. She wrote; "Pray for Obama." Gee I wonder why?

cause there is still racism in this country those who don't like any dark colors who only likes the whites of men eyes that speak....." bias prejudice ism has played among a race of people, for so long history has not for gotten the war with the deep south when blue and gray had fought against each other for for freeing the black man. and the white man had tried to wipe out a whole lot of native Americans from existing from this land as well . bfore the white man brought slavery to the southern states.

histories and wars has played a lot in our life. From peace to hardships of other minorities of other people America and its people have a rich heritage who we are and who we become to be. O" Yes I will tell you I have Native American in me to French Canadian and black mixed in in my dad family ..if every one in this America could only look back of there past there are very much skeletons in there closet. Everyday for now on President Obama needs our prayers needs our hope and his life guarded with his protection cause of others who dislikes him for his goodness .. Dear great father of many I pray to all for this man May he be protected and loved may he work with all of us. pray for peace as this journey takes us. Amen..

Shade I still love you for who you are your strong women a very well known here for being real
May God bless you with peace and light. Peace Maker

You know I too have thought deeply about this NLP and whilst you know I empathise and totally understand, perhaps more then you know. I also know that the simply if these great men had not lived at all there would not have been the impetuous nor the foundation for what has occurred today. Yes we as a global society mourn the loss of great people, usually well after the fact, you know what they say "You never know what you had until it's gone" and yes perhaps if they'd lived America may have been in a different place right now...but that is IF...lets celebrate the fact that we were lucky enough to benefit from the foundation that these great men laid and that their deaths were not in vain
Love you
