Love is Everywhere

Today I was browsing through some old music that I've collected. I've always been a John Denver fan. I was very saddened at his death several years ago. Much of his music appeals to me because of it's simple, wholesome message. Today I revisited one of his songs that makes great sense to me in these last few years, the more I come to ponder it.

Love is everywhere, I see it
You are all that you can be, go on and be it
Life is perfect, I believe it
Come and play the game with me.

Open yourself to the first celebration
Open your eyes to the joy and pain
Life is the fruit of your own creation
Every new birth is a soul regained.

Love is everywhere, I see it
You are all that you can be, go on and be it
Life is perfect, I believe it
Come and play the game with me.

Drinkin' my life from a silver fountain
Sweet water runnin' to the cold salt sea
Old man moon on a white top mountain
Sound of the wind singin' dreams for me.

Love is everywhere, I see it
You are all that you can be, go on and be it
Life is perfect, I believe it
Come and play the game with me.

Follow your heart like a flying stallion
Race from the sun to the edge of night
Form your truth like a gold medallion
Dance in the circle of the love and the light.

Love is everywhere, I see it
You are all that you can be, go on and be it
Life is perfect, I believe it
Come and play the game with me.

This song speaks of a general philosophy that "life is perfect" no matter what happens. This is a philosophy that I myself subscribe to. No matter what happens, everything always works out just as it's supposed to. Even the unpleasant things that happen are part of a perfect plan that help us learn the lessons we were meant to learn when we came here. The first important statement is, "You are all that you can be, go on and be it." This speaks to the fact that we are already perfect the way we are. That doesn't mean we don't make mistakes. But it means that we are not incomplete. We don't need to add anything to who we are at the core, at our essence. We are enough. We have this notion that being perfect means you never make mistakes. This is a faulty definition of perfection. Things that seem to be mistakes actually are still part of the perfection of our universe. Who you are as a person is already perfect. You have been convinced that there is something wrong with you that needs changing, that you are lost and need to be found, that you are missing something you need. This is not the case. All the answers you need are inside you already. You must simply seek them out.

Another important statement: "Life is the fruit of your own creation." Most people don't realize how true this is. We all attract to ourselves either positive or negative events. In this way, we create lives that are either magnets for positive events or magnets for negative events. To learn more about this, visit this website and watch this free movie. The next important statement: "Follow your heart like a flying stallion." This absolutely is one of the most important parts of success in life. Don't settle for what other people think you should do, or what the rest of society finds appropriate. You and only you know what makes your heart soar, what things make your heart beat faster, what is truly your passion and joy. Follow those things. The last important statement: "Form your truth like a gold medallion." Gold is a unique metal. It is valued not just for its rarity, but also for its range of lovely colors, the distinctive character of its soft metallic glow, its resistance to tarnish, and its easy workability. And of course, for it's value.

Discovering your truth will have similar characteristics. Your truth will be different from everybody else's, hence it's rarity and distinctive character. Just as gold is distinct from other metals, so your truth will be distinct from all others. It will resist tarnishing, meaning your truth will hold up to all others and for you, will never be harmed or diminished. It's easy workability means that it's something that can be molded. As you walk through your life, you learn lessons and refine your truth based upon your experience and understanding. Truth is not something that is the same for all. We each mold it and make it into something valuable to us, even if it looks differently to others. All these characteristics make it very valuable. Love is everywhere, I see it. If you don't, then allow the universe to reach out to you and prove to you that it really is everywhere, even in the difficult times.
