Power and Authority We live in a world where power is the reward for our efforts. If we work hard we have financial security and that gives us material power. Being in a fulfilling relationship provides us with emotional power-life can feel so much better when we have a loving partner to share it with and fulfill our emotional needs. We are surrounded by images of powerful people and the magical lives they seem to lead and are told that when we have power we can have that life too, if we work hard enough, long enough and make enough sacrifices to 'get to the top.' It is easy to be seduced by the illusion of material power, as examples of it are all around us. So we believe that we will have authority once we have power. But it is really the other way around. When we acknowledge our spiritual authority, power follows. We can't be powerful until we accept our authority and until we do we will chase power without being able to connect to it because having power has nothing to do with what we do or who we are on the outside-it is a reflection of our inner level of spiritual authority. Can we set aside our beliefs about power and instead focus on our spiritual authority, even if the details of our life seem to be anything but powerful? It is when we are at the lowest point in our life, when we feel the most powerless, that we are actually the most powerful. That is the moment when we can claim our spiritual authority and create transformation because at that moment we are willing to trust and have faith that change is possible. If we start from the point of claiming our spiritual authority power is available to us because we can then create a powerful reality that reflects what we truly desire. If you feel powerless, are you hoping that power will give you authority? Claim your spiritual authority and the power will follow and you will create the reality of your dreams, powerfully and effortlessly. |
