"Dealing" with independent thought in a nominally democratic society has been one of the obsessions of big business and corporate power throughout America's history and over the centuries, they've become very good at it.

During the last major financial meltdown (in the 1930s), Americans finally got sick and tired of the Hearst news organization and all the ignorant, bigoted, hate-mongering it engendered. A national boycott of Hearst and all his newspapers and radio stations was called. (This was the era before TV.) It's time for a boycott of Fox and EVERYTHING Rupert Murdoch owns. It's a simple proposition...if you advertise on with a Murdoch property, I'm not buying your stuff.
