Shade Lawmade me cry....... my son in law is a marine. when he came back from iraq he was chosen to tell the parents, he was chosen to be the honor guard at the burial sites. he was chosen to give the flag to the wife or parents along with a personal message from president bush. he's a good marine. he did all of this very professionally.except, he said it hurt him terribly when people would kiss the casket good-bye. |

The lives of our American sons and daughters are far more precious than any political ploy or commercial prosperity. As a parent who has lost a child (not in the war), I can tell you it is a pain you never recover from. Some days are okay, but some are so painful it takes your breath away. We need to consider if the purpose is still as vital and the effort is still necessary...more than the value of those young people and their families who are making the sacrifice. When the season and the reason for change is not recognized, saying "I'm sorry" is not good enough.
