Who Is Inferior ?This is a featured page

One of the biggest and most devaluating concepts in existence with in our society consists of racism, prejudice and stereotyping. All are extremely closely related, all lead to divisions with in society, all lead to devaluation of identity.
Racism as defined by the Australian Equal Opportunity Commission:

“Racism is an ideology that gives expression to myths about other racial and ethnic groups that devalues and renders inferior those groups that reflects and is perpetuated by deeply rooted historical, social, cultural and power inequalities in society.”

Any literature will provide exceedingly great rationales for its existence, some even provide justification. When we cut to the chase, eliminate all the bureaucratic rubbish, one can see such prejudice or racist views are caused by nothing more then fear. Fear bred from misunderstanding or ignorance. Either way, preconceived views and expressions of these opinions leads to a quest for dominance and power over and above those considered inferior. This is simply another expression of fear. We as a human race have a grand history of conquests, wars and violence aimed at obtaining control over what are considered threatening but inferior societal groups. What is the easiest way in which to control? Create superiority and inferiority, apply labels and stereotypes and teach these to each generation.

Despite many world wide Acts, regulations and laws to prevent discrimination, racism and prejudice, within our society these thrive, in fact there has been very little reduction in anti racial behaviour or opinions since the 19th and 18th centuries. The only change that’s been made is in the delivery of racism, today, perhaps it’s not quite as blatant, but it is there.

Interestingly, race is a false classification based on ideology with no scientific or biological support, it is purely a political concept created for a political purpose. This in itself eludes to the entire purpose of the concept of race…a means of asserting control, power and dominance over non-white or groups of minority and inferiority.
Exactly what the definition of white is, is rather elusive…does it depend on the colour of ones skin? Of their heritage? Of the country of birth? Even the definition of “white” varies depending on the level of power desired and the control needed.

What is forgotten is the fact if we dispense with skin colour, underneath we all consist of blood, bone, muscle and nervous tissue…we are all human beings, yes we look different, how boring if we didn’t…but all human beings nonetheless.

With the 21st century well and truly under way, one would be tempted to assume that man has discovered, created and invented some magnificent achievements since the 19th and 20th centuries and yet man cannot accept anyone who looks different, anyone who is a non conformist or anyone who has different coloured skin.
How sad…tell me now who is inferior…
