the words mean a whole lot

if my day was my last day I would live in the best
of the time I had I would for get the past and put it behind me
and live free with out the worries of my soul.
except the winds of change

and go on living as I have done
mend the heart of my loving wife
tell her she is the love of my life

then go on trying to live as I have been.
